Saunders Electronics has recently purchased the Mirtec MV-7 in-line AOI inspection system. The technologically advanced MV-7 comes with 5 cameras with 9.8 micron/pixel resolution. This top of the line system allows for superior lifted lead detection for gullwing devices, four point height measurement for co planarity testing of BGA and CSP devices and enhanced solder paste measurement capabilities.

Saunders Electronics is proud to announce its AS9100 Aerospace Quality Standard System Certification. This accomplishment advances the company’s long term goal of attaining a world class quality management system. AS 9100 was developed by the International Organization for Standardization, assisting aerospace industry manufacturers to employ quality assurance practices in customer service, product design and development, testing and production methodologies, process control, risk management, and traceability. The Registrar Company of Dallas, Texas conducted the audit in parallel to our re-certification to ISO9001-2000.
Dennis Vandi to join Saunders Electronics
Saunders Electronics has hired Dennis Vandi as director of operations. Dennis was most recently the site general manager for the Plexus Electronic Assembly site in Ayer, Ma. Prior to Plexus, he held various positions including vice president of Texcel, director of quality and manufacturing for Genrad, quality and material manager of SCI Systems, and over 20 years with Digital Equipment Corp.
